Cholesterol....people often linked this word with something dangerous. When they hear the word “cholesterol”, usually they will think about diseases that can affect all of us. Actually, do you know what cholesterol is? You know you need to change your eating habit in order to stay healthy but what is the connection between these stuffs and cholesterol levels?
So in science, cholesterol has its own definition. Cholesterol is kind of lipid that you body need for some crucial functions. You can find cholesterol in each of your cells (also mine, of course). Cholesterol has two important jobs. First, to insulate your nerve fiber and second, to send signals around your body. You need to keep your cholesterol level, if the cholesterol in your body is uncontrolled (too high), the risk will be very deadly. You are going to be attacked by the heart disease. Sounds scary?
There are some kinds of special device which can check your cholesterol level. But I strongly advise you to go to the doctor near you so you can really understand what is happening to you and what you need to do. Actually, heart disease is not only depend on your cholesterol level, but also your lipoproteins. Lipoprotein is a “thing” which has a job to carry your cholesterol within your body. So you absolutely need to know how well your lipoprotein is, beside your cholesterol level. If you want your cholesterol level to be normal, you must stay away from high cholesterol foods.
