In modern age, busy life is something that we must accept. Work from 8 AM – 6 PM is something that we can’t refuse. With this kind of lifestyle, our physical health can’t be considered as healthy unless if we taking exercises every day (or every two days). Well, technology has an answer for us. In the new century, weight loss pills are very common to our life. People with excess weight and lazy activities often typed keyword “weight loss pills” or “best weight loss pills” in Google just because they want to lose weight fast.

Actually, can they lose weight so fast? Nope. However, the real weight loss pills can actually help you but only if you have patience. Working on your body, running 15-30 minutes every day, and other healthy activities are still needed. Try to live with healthy eating habit is also needed if you want to lose weight. But of course, weight loss pills can help you to lose more unwanted pounds.

Young Women, You Need To Read This...

Young women. I think many young women in this world are working too hard on their body. When they think they are fat, they will do anything in order to get a better physical appearance. Sometimes, they even skip meals at night/afternoon just because they feel uncomfortable with their body. When they are skinny, they even think they are still fat. This is a serious problem which, unfortunately, faced by most young women. They want men to worship them although they never admit it.

They need to know that lose weight needs patience. You can’t skip meals because in long term it will harm you. When you are fat and you think you need to change, then change your lifestyle BUT periodically. Don’t ever think you can change in only one night or one week. Sport activities and healthy meals are needed but skip meals are a big no.

Don't Punish Yourself

Many people talked a lot of things about dieting but actually dieting needs process and that process is something uneasy. In diet, we need to change periodically. Don’t you think you can change your eating habit in one night, it won’t be useful for you. For example, if you love to eat three fried chickens in every lunch, then try to reduce it to two. Don’t suddenly stop eating meat at all. Your body needs adaptation, just like when we live far away from our home. What do we need? Adaptation.

Beside about eating, exercise is also important. But similar with foods, you also need to adapt with exercises. If you never train your stomach, why do you think you can sit up 200x per day? Don’t punish your own body. You need to do exercises every day but you need to begin with the easiest level. When you already get used to it, then you can move to the harder stage. It won’t bring any good if you punish yourself because in long term you will surrender and come back to your old habit.

Vegetables, Fruits, Vegetables, Fruits

It is very important to keep eating vegetables and fruits for your diet. Everyone (including me) always suggested you to eat vegetables and fruits if you want to stay healthy and lose weight at the same time. Various vegetables are very important to beat fat excess and keep away diseases from your body. Sometimes we only care about our physical activities but we forget about what we eat. Actually, it is very stupid if you eat lots of foods after you done with your physical activities or workouts. Many people said it is normal if we eat lots of foods with many calories and fats inside them after we work so hard to lose weight. Well, two most important things in our life are physical activities and eating habit. So start eating veggies and fruits after now you realized that actually we desperately need them.

Bingeing


Let’s talk about bingeing. Nowadays, bingeing had become one of the usual habits of stressful people. Bingeing is kind of bad and a bit strange eating habit. When you do not feel hungry at all, but you always want to eat, that means bingeing. The cause of this trouble is very common. When you are stressful because of your daily job or family matters, you will want to eat. Some people only eat small but the others will consume lots of foods and also drinks just to make they feel better.

Well, do you know Elvis Presley? This man is a legend in music but we all know he has so many problems in his personal life. In the last few years before he died, he changed his eating habits. Suddenly, he became fat and never thinks twice when he eats. This is similar to bingeing. You do not feel hungry but you eat to feed your anger and disappointment. Is this good? Absolutely not.

I always told you to stay healthy and eat proportional meals. Bingeing can ruin everything because what you eat is connected to your weight loss problem. To stop bingeing, you need to know what the source of the problem and solve it! Yes, you need courage and perseverance to help your problem but you know there is no other way. Ask yourself what your biggest problem is and how to stop it. Then you must act, don’t be afraid. When you solve your problem, you will stop eating unnecessary foods. If you can’t stop your problem, consult it with a psychologist or your family

What is Cholesterol?

Cholesterol....people often linked this word with something dangerous. When they hear the word “cholesterol”, usually they will think about diseases that can affect all of us. Actually, do you know what cholesterol is? You know you need to change your eating habit in order to stay healthy but what is the connection between these stuffs and cholesterol levels?

So in science, cholesterol has its own definition. Cholesterol is kind of lipid that you body need for some crucial functions. You can find cholesterol in each of your cells (also mine, of course). Cholesterol has two important jobs. First, to insulate your nerve fiber and second, to send signals around your body. You need to keep your cholesterol level, if the cholesterol in your body is uncontrolled (too high), the risk will be very deadly. You are going to be attacked by the heart disease. Sounds scary?

There are some kinds of special device which can check your cholesterol level. But I strongly advise you to go to the doctor near you so you can really understand what is happening to you and what you need to do. Actually, heart disease is not only depend on your cholesterol level, but also your lipoproteins. Lipoprotein is a “thing” which has a job to carry your cholesterol within your body. So you absolutely need to know how well your lipoprotein is, beside your cholesterol level. If you want your cholesterol level to be normal, you must stay away from high cholesterol foods.

Mediterranean Diet...It is effective for our diet?

I have seen many people practicing Mediterranean diet. Some experts say Mediterranean diet is the best diet method that ever existed but maybe not. It called “Mediterranean” because this program came from Mediterranean country like Italy and Greece. This program is identical with red wine. So it sounds easy, right? Not too hard to practiced and you can drink red wine, what else can you expect?

Mediterranean diet is the combination of red wine, fish, lots of fruits and veggies, and a bit of wheat and beef. But remember you need fresh veggies, do not keep it in refrigerator before you used it for your Mediterranean diet. It is fresh and effective for your diet but the negative thing is the price. Yeah, you must spend a lot of money and effort to practice this kind of diet. All the above ingredients are not cheap.

And it is very time-consuming to search ingredients for Mediterranean diet, and like I stated above, you need fresh veggies, beef, etc. You can’t go to super market and buy any fresh vegetables. You need to find a traditional market, and I don’t think we can easily find it in big cities. In overall, Mediterranean diet is good and effective BUT only if you can find all the fresh ingredients. Oh…I do not mention the price anyway :)

Diet Coke, safe or not for you?

When we ask people about diet soda, the answer will be divided into two kinds of answers. So many pro and contra about diet soda. Some people think it won’t help you but even worse, you gain more weight with drink more diet soda. But some people also think diet soda is good for all of us since there are no calories inside them. Their reason is simple, diet soda uses artificial sweeteners (usually called aspartame) which won’t affect your teeth and blood sugar levels.

Diet Coke, a product from Coca Cola is a pure example for this. Diet Coke has only 1.3 calories in each can, different from regular Coca Cola can which contains 142 calories. Wow, the difference is big, isn’t it? So if you are kind of people who loved to drink soda or other kind of drinks which uses lots of sugar, you should replace them with diet soda. Let’s say if you drink one can of soda every day and from now on you replace it with diet soda, then next month you will lose 4,200 calories!

However, it’s the theory but practically, not everyone (who loved drink soda) can really lose that much when they start drinking diet soda. Maybe to get the best result, you must stop drinking any soda, including diet soda, even though I know it’s hard. Anyway, usually people who are practicing no-fat diet method can be tempted easily by tasteful drinks. Because they didn’t feel any “delicious” foods in their meals, so they ran to sweet drinks after they finished eating their meals. Many true stories to proof this theory, maybe you are having the same problem?

Yes, when we eat foods, we will consider the taste of the foods. Even when we are not hungry, sometimes we’ll still eat our favorite foods, right? Same to drinks. If you are a soda-addict, it’s better to start replacing your favorite drinks with diet soda. It’s much, much better than if you keep drinking regular soda. But still, I recommend you to plan a balanced meal so when there is any tasteful food/drink in front of you, it won’t tempt you easily.

Not only addiction to soda and other sweet drinks, but nowadays we often see people who addicted to caffeine. Caffeine is the basic ingredient in coffee and it can give us extra strength whenever we get bore or feel sleepy. Many weight loss pills uses caffeine because caffeine can change your “desire” against tasteful meals.

But I still prefer to use diet soda if I was a soda-addict. Diet soda has the same effect with caffeine and it has less calories. Just remember, you should try to balance your meal, don’t eat foods without fat and if and only if you are a soda-addict, change it to diet soda.
